SUMMARY.  This is the generally most healthy diet you can eat to prevent degenerative diseases and increase healthy longevity.

This diet is real food, high fiber, low sugar foods.

1.  DIET:  Eat REAL food, no additives, no chemicals, no simple carbohydrates (sugar, white flower, white rice, etc.), no fake fats or oils (trans fats, margarines), etc.  Emphasize 66% greens.

2.  BOWEL HEALTH.  There is a saying that death begins in the colon.  I believe this is VERY true.  The basis of health has to do with proper, thorough daily elimination.  Here are some ideas to support relief from Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel, Chronic Constipation, DIVERTICULITIS, etc.

COFFEE.  You can have some organic coffee in the smoothie mixture or separately.  Coffee is good for you if organic as it is loaded with antioxidants.   It will help you with elimination.

WATER.  Drink 8 ounces of filtered water per day to flush your system clear.

Summary of the Wahls Protocol Diet could be summed up as:

  • 3 cups of green leafy vegetables (daily).  Ex. kale, spinach, etc.
  • 3 cups of sulphur rich vegetables ex. broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts. (daily)
  • 3 cups of bright colour (peppers, berries, fruit) (daily)
  • Grass fed meat/poultry (several times per week).  6-9 oz/day.
  • Wild seafood (several times per week).  6-9 oz/day
  • Seaweed (at least once a week)

4.  SUPPLEMENTS.  You might want to go to a licensed professional nutritionist to have your blood levels tested and then have them recommend what to take.  This is what I take.  Professional advice should always be sought.

Omega 3.  I take organic fish oil.  You can also do organic Krill Oil.

Vitamin D3.  I take 5000 IU. per day.   This should be tested by a nutritionist and recommended for you.
