I just got my very own vibration plate. I LOVE it!

You step on it.

Use the remote control to turn it on, then to the correct speed for your goal. I have osteoporosis (reason I got it) so I need to have my vibration plate at 32 to 35 Hz.

Then you start jiggling. ha ha. Yes, it is fun.

I do squats, leg raises, tip toe balancing and a few other movements for bone building, but there are so many other things you can do on your plate even while watching TV.

After about just 10 minutes on my little machine doing what I mentioned above I get a little out of breath and start to perspire, so I would say this claim of efficient caloric burning is true!

After I do my osteoporosis routine, I dance on my vibration plate for about more 10 minutes using a youtube video like below. It is so much fun (but could be dangerous. I am very careful.)

When I am through I feel like I burned some calories, toned my muscles and elevated my mood without working out.

I have noticed my spine is straighter, my balance is better and I feel muscles in my thighs and buttocks getting a little sore as this activity is awakening my body in new ways.

Please excuse the frenetic nature of the routine. Latin music and dancing does that to you, I guess. haha

So there is a way to improve your calorie burn without working out. You just have to jiggle on a vibration plate.
