SURRENDER:  How to Surrender to Find Peace.

A couple of weeks ago I started to feel very finite, like everything was coming to an end on earth.  I had been ill for a few weeks with a virus, which had come back three times.

Guess that coupled with a few other situations in my own life, which try as I might to FIX on my own unsuccessfully over many years, made me a bit gloomy, to say the least.

At the same time the media was delivering stories of terrorist attacks, vicious political wars, and other messages of doom to gloom.  All in all I was falling into the fear of mankind rapidly without a net to catch me.

That evening at 3am I was awakened with a voice booming at me to SURRENDER!  I knew exactly what was going on.  Spirit was telling me to surrender.

Spirit spoke of a system to surrender called the WONDER of Oneness.  This meant living in the now.  They used the word WONDER to outline a system of surrender.

However, I still did not know how to surrender! Spirit said to, “Live in the NOW,” yet I still wondered HOW!

If you are having difficulty giving up your struggle to control everything and make everything right, living in the now is a nice concept, but almost impossible.

So I still wondered how to live in the now and surrender.  I needed an easy, simple way to do this.

Earlier today I was journaling.  I love journaling.  It is a way to easily connect with my soul and spiritual guides.  Journaling is like my pipeline to God.

A prayer emerged as I wrote, which I would like to share with you.  It is all about surrender.

Someone very dear to me four days ago mentioned how he prays to God for help.  I guess this stuck with me because ever since then, I have been praying.

I have not been trying to go into the now or trying to do anything, because when you are STUCK, the only thing that seems to work is prayer.

Going to the now is a great concept, but it still left me stuck.  How do you enter the now.   I had been meditating up a storm, and when done, still was trying to control everything to make things right.  So meditation was not helping me to enter the now.

One very effective way to instantly SURRENDER is with prayer.  If you are ever confused about how to surrender, if you get all tied up in your head trying to CONTROL surrender, prayer is the most crystal clear way to do it.

Here is the prayer:

“Please dear God (higher power) allow me to fulfill my purpose on earth.

Please allow me to surrender to a higher power, a higher will.

Let your will be my will.

I am here to serve you and complete what I came to earth to do. 

I awaken and allow this purpose now.

Thank you God.”

You might be wondering what is all this stuff about purpose.  All I know is when the prayer was channeled through me, purpose was embedded in it.

I assume from this, spirit is reminding me and you that with purpose we can have surrender, without purpose, we cannot.  We each came to earth to fulfill our particular Dharma, soul’s service, growth, whatever you want to call this.

Surrendering to this service is integral to surrendering to God.  So I asked that my purpose be fulfilled on earth, that my ego succumb to service of God’s will.
