Voila! My permanent frown was reversed. All evening when I checked, my face looked like it had dropped the weight of the ages off of it. I looked happy for a change!

I am getting older.  Yes, I am.  No doubt about it.

Although I love my work as a Psychic Medium and Spiritual Coach, I do still need to feel good about how I look.  How I feel about myself is integral to helping others.

After the end of a long term relationship and self imposed term of isolation to heal, my face and body were showing the signs of permanent sadness.  Yes, my emotions were affecting the way I looked, permanently!

I remember looking at my eyes and wondering, “Why do they look so sad all the time?”  I thought perhaps it was the sadness I had been through.

I am a very sensitive soul.  Things affect me deeply.  As well, due to developing my psychic mind, I project my beliefs very intensely into the universal field.

If I allow my attitudes to go unchecked, I could focus myself into hell!

Yesterday I was wandering through a shopping mall.  There I saw a permanent makeup booth.

I innocently wandered into the booth, having a fascination with this procedure.  The beautiful 64 year old makeup artist ran over to me and screamed, “Oh, darling your eyebrows need help!”

I looked at myself.  “What is wrong with them?” I thought.  I knew I did not look good, but was not quite sure why.

I vaguely explained I had been through a nasty breakup, which might have caused this permanent frown.

She was deaf to my words.  Instead she started to work her black magic on my innocent face and pulled up the arch with an eyebrow pencil, while erasing my natural eyebrow below.  I looked a little garish, but I got the point.

Just as she finished her witchery on my face, they presented their newest Frankenstein Bride from the procedure room.  The lovely woman had very fake looking tattooed eyebrows.

I cringed.  I didn’t want them working on me, but yet there was something here to learn.

As I left the store my little mind started to work ingeniously on this conundrum.  In a flash I realized if my emotions had created a PERMANENT FROWN on my face, they could REVERSE it.

As soon as I got home I tried a facial exercise.  I intensely reversed the expression of my face from frown to ecstatic, exuberant delight.  I did it a number of times.

Voila!  My permanent frown was reversed.  All evening when I checked, my face looked like it had dropped the weight of the ages off of it.  I looked happy for a change!

So much of how we look is determined by how we feel.

So before you run for Botox injections, surgery or permanent makeup, check out your emotional state.  Are you happy or are you running around tense, angry and in a funk?

This is not to say these modern tools are bad.  They actually are miraculous!  However, they work better on top of a happy foundation, rather than a quick fix over a dysfunctional you.

Give “happy smile” a try.  Smiling is the most effective facelift around!

  1. Laura, I so believe in this. I was watching a video made in Italy by Gregg Braden who has documentation that this is correct. Only us in the Western World don’t do this. People in Tibet who are 125 years old know these secrets of seeing it as if. I enjoy your articles and would love to learn some of the step by step to accomplish health and reversal of aging.

  2. I love this article, Laura! This is so true. The inside has to be fixed before you can fix the outside. Thanks for sharing! I love reading all your articles.
