REVERSE AGING SCIENTIFIC BREAKTHROUGHS 2017: Give the Gift of Youth At the Holidays!

Dr. David Sinclair lowered his biological age from 57 to 31 by following the protocol his research at Harvard University developed.  This research revealed that the healthy life span of mice could be increased by 30% following a particular protocol.  Watch full video of Dr. Sinclair below.

Lately I have been looking and feeling rather old, tired and my face has been rather droopy, so I decided to look into diet, nutrition and now latest scientific research to see what is out there in 2017 to help reverse the effects of aging.

After following the protocol for about 5 days I dropped a couple of pounds and my facial skin looked healthy, glowing and even toned with less wrinkles around the eyes.  Could something be working?

Here is some background to these ideas.

1.  CURRENT ANTI AGING APPROACHES.  This article gives a good overview of current anti aging technologies available.  Go HERE.

Here is a summary quote from this article, “The intervention against aging is now an emerging application. Last year, Kaeberlein et al.3 described eight possible interventions as disease preventive methods. The interventions include: dietary restriction, exercise, mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitors, metformin and acarbose, NAD precursors and sirtuin activators, modifiers of senescence and telomore dysfunction, hormonal and circulating factors, and mitochondria-targeted therapeutics.”

The article goes on to state, “dietary restriction (calorie restriction) and exercise appear to be the realistic interventions, but both requires modest lifestyle modification which may be difficult for some individuals to implement.”

Caloric restriction requires caloric intake be diminished to less that 2/3 of the recommended amount for your height on a daily basis.  This has been proven scientifically to increase life by 30%.

2.  ANTI AGING PROTOCOL.  What to do today to gain the benefits of anti aging using what is available.  It goes into diet, exercise, niacinamide, niacin, tryptophan, NMN and NR.  Go HERE to read.

MY PROTOCOL.  I am taking Niacinamide 500 mg at bedtime and MNM 100 mg in morning, to increase NAD levels in body.   Current clinical trials are using MNM at 250 mg a day.  I might get there eventually.

As well, I take 1000mg of Berberine split between morning and night.

DIET.  The article I mentioned above says to eat a ketogenic diet.  I don’t feel that is healthy.

I eat a LOW GLYCEMIC DIET.  Basically it is high in fiber, low in fat.

I eat a ratio of 3/4 non starchy fruits and vegetables, to 1/4 low fat protein and complex carbohydrates.  Dr. Axe has a great article on this type of diet HERE.

From the way I feel to the research I have done, this diet seems to be the healthiest you can eat.

This way of eating is similar to the Mediterranean Diet, which is the foundation of a Blue Zone diet.  (In the five Blue Zones across the globe, people live to higher life spans that elsewhere.)

It is also similar to Dr. Barry Sears, The Zone Diet, which is a low glycemic diet.  The way I remember it is 2/3 veggies/fruits to 1/3 low fat protein/complex carbs.   Little or no simple carbs.

EXERCISE.  I regularly exercise for about 1 hour a day.  Usually this is in the form of some weight bearing core strengthening, leg lunges, squats and no weights walking.  I also dance ballroom and latin one to two times per week.  That would count as high intensity exercise.

I take a full panoply of supplements as I needed to improve my immune system.  Now I rarely get colds or flu.

I am hoping by following this anti aging protocol that my energy will improve which has been an issue for me.  As well, I hope to extend my healthy life span.

3.  B3 SUPPLEMENTS USED in PROTOCOL developed by Dr. Sinclair.  Niagen (Nicotinamide Riboside) and a Vitamin B3 derivative called NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide).  This supplement has been found to affect all 7 Sirtuins which control the DNA instructions for function.

4.  OTHER SUPPLEMENT USED IN PROTOCOL.  Metformin, a drug for diabetes, has been used as well in this process.  I use Berberine instead as Metformin has been found to be aging in certain ways and it has side effects.

There is an herbal Metformin called Berberine that can be bought over the counter that is superior to Metformin in its anti aging capabilities.  More on that below.

5.  CREDIBILITY.  The credibility of Dr. Sinclair’s work cannot be disputed.  The cover story of Time Magazine in March of 2017 recognizes this work.  NASA has chosen this approach to help protect astronauts from cancer caused by long exposure to radiation in space on travel to Mars

WHAT I AM TAKING.  I am taking NMN 100 mg in the morning.  I might increase to 250mg, but I am also taking Niacinamide 500mg at bedtime, which also increases NAD.  Not sure if I need to increase the NMN too.

Current researchers are using doses of 250mg per day in their studies.

I am also taking Berberine (herbal Metformin) two 500 mg (1g) daily.  I take 500mg in morning and then another 500mg at night.

BUY MNM 50 mg.  I take two of these per day.  They have an excellent website and customer service, but I could not get a read on their reviews using www.fakespot.com as they do not yet have enough of them.

NMN 125 mg.  I might take two of these per day as I progress into this protocol.  I checked the reviews of this product using fakespot.com.  They are rated an “A.”  The manufacturer of this product has an excellent website.

HERBAL METFORMIN HERE.  Optimal dosage of Metformin is 1000mg to 2000 mg per day.  I am taking two 500 mg capsules of Berberine per day during my test of this supplement.
